· Snow coated road ways with arrival of snow overspreading the region quickly will mean slow going this morning – leave a little early to get to your destination.

· This snowfall good for about 1 to locally 3” amounts by mid afternoon before snows wind down to light flurries. Temperatures will also reach into the low and mid 30s…melting back some of that in the lower valley elevations.

· Break in our weather Tuesday for a decent day – with some sunshine through increasing and thickening high clouds.

· Watch it Wednesday morning commute could also see a light coating of snow but likely not as much as what we’re seeing Monday.

· Colder and nuisance snow showers/flurry activity will remain the rest of this week.

· It was looking like a robust warm onslaught was to bring marginal mixed precip and that has since been erased with occasional snow showers flurries going into the weekend with a colder shot of modified arctic air blowing in.

· We might be entering a period of more or less “real Vermont winter weather” finally – but those conditions were likely to change later this month as well.

· Low pressure toward the Canadian Maritimes will influence our weather bringing moisture streams off the Great Lakes and converge them into mini frontal bands with one band coming through late Friday into Friday night tonight.

· This should combine with lowering freezing levels or snow levels dropping toward the valley floors this evening and overnight…good for about a dusting to 2” of snow fall with the most in the higher terrain…watch for snow coated roads tonight and tomorrow!

· We’ll see off and on intermittent snow showers predominant Saturday into Saturday evening with an influx of moisture coming off the Great Lakes, and proving another coating of light snow Saturday evening.

· Weak high pressure builds in Sunday but with colder temps in play. Sunshine should be at its most Sunday.

· Expect off and on weak weather systems to invade for all of next week, excepting as much more robust weather system that could bring us another round of freezing rain and terrible travel Thursday into Friday.

· Conditions much less wild today but still blustery with westerly winds blowing in incrementally cooler to colder air.

· We’ll see periodic snow shower/rain shower episodes over the next couple of days trending colder will mean snow levels drop closer if not onto valley floor elevations.

· The worst of this appears to be tomorrow night where a dusting to a couple of inches will fall especially east of the Green Mountains – so heads up for Saturday morning travel.

· Colder weather lands on Sunday into Tuesday next week. A change in the forecast now noted for Monday. A weak warm front could deliver a dusting to an inch of snowfall (wet banana peel slickness) in spots Monday.

· Another big rain and likely windstorm arrives later in the week next week with another warm up. This could also have icing on the front end. It was way too soon to detail out just yet.

· There is seemingly always loads of weather that will affect you. Morning fog very dense will slow you down this morning – so heads up.

· Rain develops far southern areas late morning into the afternoon and should spread north toward the Canadian border by dark with the second of two rain storms.

· Additionally, strong southeasterly winds aloft will affect the Green Mountain Summits and spread down western slopes into the central southern Vermont valleys and eventually across portions of eastern Champlain Valley where winds may be very gusty this evening.

· Unsettled but less wild weather ensues Thursday into Friday, as colder air develops into the weekend we’ll see more sunshine through an otherwise default position of clouds this time of year.

· December follows November for the cloudiest month of the year. Usually the difference is we have snow on the ground in December.
