Updated Wednesday morning Forecast & WX Notes — November 30th, 2016

· There is seemingly always loads of weather that will affect you. Morning fog very dense will slow you down this morning – so heads up.

· Rain develops far southern areas late morning into the afternoon and should spread north toward the Canadian border by dark with the second of two rain storms.

· Additionally, strong southeasterly winds aloft will affect the Green Mountain Summits and spread down western slopes into the central southern Vermont valleys and eventually across portions of eastern Champlain Valley where winds may be very gusty this evening.

· Unsettled but less wild weather ensues Thursday into Friday, as colder air develops into the weekend we’ll see more sunshine through an otherwise default position of clouds this time of year.

· December follows November for the cloudiest month of the year. Usually the difference is we have snow on the ground in December.

TODAY: Areas of dense morning fog. A hint of sun possible northern areas, otherwise gray and cloudy. Periods of rain developing late in the day. A high 45 to 50. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: Rain…moderate at times. Areas of fog. A low 35 to 40. Southeast breeze 10 to 20 mph across the hills.

THURSDAY: Clouds mixing with intervals of sunshine. Isolated sprinkles mixed with wet snow flakes in the higher mountains. A high in the mid to upper 40s. Winds becoming westerly 10 to 20 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. A few isolated showers or sprinkles mixed with a few wet snow flakes. A low 32 to 35.

FRIDAY: Cloudy northern areas with intervals of sunshine south. Scattered wet snow showers high terrain with rain showers valley floors. A high 40 to 45.

SATURDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy. Scattered snow showers with some minor accumulation especially in the hills. A low near 30. A high in the mid 30s.

SUNDAY: Morning clouds then partly sunny to mostly sunny and colder. A low 20 to 25. A high in the low 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny but cold. A low in the upper teens to mid 20s. A high in the 30s.

Average lows in the low 20s. Normal highs upper 30s to low 40s
