Updated Friday morning Forecast & WX notes — September 2nd, 2016

· A very weak disturbance passing through with a few low clouds this morning will edge out of Vermont by early afternoon with increasing amounts of sunshine.

· This set up will feature a dry stretch of weather that could last well into the middle to end of next week thanks to a broad and rather strong Autumnal like area of high pressure that will sit over interior section of the NE. and New England.

· The blocking high pressure system will keep remnants of Tropical Strom Hermine at bay well to our south as we’ll be spectators at least through Labor Day weekend.

· High thin cirrostratus and some mid level altostratus clouds will overspread the region aloft as Hermine vents out some of her higher level moisture aloft. Thus expect baby-blue skies with milky sunshine but a very nice dry period with a slow warming trend.

· The next chance for significant rainfall may not be until the end of next week. – so water your gardens as this will be one dry but beautiful stretch for N. New England.

· For S. New England S. New York beaches – Rip tide city with some pretty big surf and breezy to windy conditions with some beach erosion possible along with elevated sea level rise due to wind packing water in east facing bays from the more distant effects of Hermine later this weekend and early next week.
