Updated Wednesday morning Forecast & WX Notes — December 28th, 2016

· Weak frontal system affecting the northern ½ of Vermont with incoming flurries this morning will dissipate out this afternoon for better travel conditions.

· Some roads may become greasy with smidge of snow this morning…traffic areas usually heat up with car tires being warm due to friction, and cause melting of ice and boom you get black ice where tires roll over.

· Great travel weather – this afternoon into Thursday morning commute without any issues.

· Nor’easter on the way for Thursday afternoon into Friday morning . Ball park storm snowfall total 8-15”

· Barre-Montpelier. Burlington 3 to 6” much more near the Greens. Saint Johnsbury 8-15” White River Junction-into central New Hampshire 10 to 20” blowing and drifting was likely exposed areas and all higher terrain.

TODAY: More clouds than sun. Occasional morning flurries with some light accumulation drying up in the afternoon. A high mid to upper 20s. Northwest winds 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. A low 10 to 15. Light southeast winds.

Winter Storm Warning 10 AM Thursday through 1 PM Friday afternoon.

THURSDAY: Clouding up. Accumulating snow…arriving around mid day. Accumulation of 2 to 3” by late in the day. A high in the upper 20s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
