THURSDAY NIGHT: Cloudy with off and on light snow but moderate at times near the northern Green Mountains-North East Kingdom highlands. Accumulations of 2 to locally 6” likely in the northern mountains. A low zero to 10 below. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with some blowing and drifting.

FRIDAY: Back into the ice box…Clouds with a few breaks of sun. Blustery at times lowering wind chills. Occasional light snow Barre-Montpelier area north…with a 1 to locally 3” most northern mountain areas. A high zero to 5 below. West to northwest winds 10 to 25 mph with higher gusts. Dangerous wind chills minus 30 to minus 45 degrees.
