· Up-slope component still underway with additional accumulation nestled up against the Green Mountains this morning with the Winter Storm Warning expiring in the afternoon as lighter flurries wind down and then exit this evening.
· Still expect snow coated roads across much of northern and central Vermont and travel could be slick.
· A brief break in the actions will take place overnight into the day Saturday with most of the day forecast to be dry.
· New Years Eve However – another weak weather system will delivers periods of very light snow or flurries and coat up area roads — so please slow down and drive the conditions.
· The best weather comes Sunday – partly to mostly sunny to start the New Year. By Monday an approaching mild intrusion means awful precipitation transitions to rain – worst travel Monday night into Tuesday morning. Temperatures on Wednesday may reach into the 40s topping close to 50 some locations.
· Good news – We have excellent powder – maybe not as much as expected, but at least half of those totals realized. Take advantage snow shoer’s skiers riders and winter sports enthusiasts before the crappy weather hits early to mid week next week.
