Updated Friday morning Forecast & WX Notes — December 9th, 2016

· As colder air and a trajectory more from the north-northwest takes hold, we’ll see less and less snow shower activity and more likely flurries going into the early evening hours.

· Away from the mountains will be intervals of sunshine especially central and southern Vermont. Clouds will hang tough near the central and northern Green Mountains where some minor lake effect from Lake Champlain will blow down the I-89 corridor at times creating the locally heavier snow showers- so heads up.

· The snow falling is much lighter and more easily blown around, this too may impact travel at t9imes with blowing and drifting and reduced visibility – but not likely to be very bad.

· A cold weekend ahead with nighttime low flirting with zero degrees but daytime temps mostly stay in the 20s.

· Our next weather maker arrives Sunday night/Monday morning with snow coated roads and perhaps snowfall rates that may approach 1” per hour for short period of time so be ready for slick travel.
