· Slippery travel to improve as temperatures break the freezing mark later this morning with bare and wet roads for the afternoon.

· No travel issues expected tonight – always be prepared for black ice –

· Colder air sweeping across the relatively warm water of the Great Lakes will make for huge lake effect snows across New York state.

· A streamer of snow will track east-northeast of Lake Ontario and tickle the northern Champlain Valley, but most especially the northern 1/5th of the Green Mountains around Jay Peak and eventually toward Mt. Mansfield before falling apart Thursday afternoon.

· We’ll likely see more lake effect enhancement to a weak frontal system that tracks through on Friday.

· Colder weather blows in for the weekend – with some exceptionally colder nights flirting with zero.

THIS MORNING: Occasional light snow producing slippery travel this morning. Accumulation ½” to an inch and half”. Temperatures rising into the low 30s. Light winds.

THIS AFTERNOON: A few mountain flurries early exiting. Perhaps a break of sun with a high around 35.. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. A low in the mid 20s. Light southwest winds.

THURSDAY: Scattered snow showers or flurries northern areas with up to an inch or two higher terrain. Partial clearing late. A high near 35. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
