Updated Tuesday Morning Forecast & WX Notes — November 29th, 2016

· Watch for glazing and treacherous travel conditions for a time this morning before warmer air changes freezing rain to rain, and ground temperatures also warm up above freezing late morning into the afternoon.

· Conditions for tonight and into the rest of the week not so bad for travel, as temperatures make moderate upward with no cold ground or icing conditions.

· Busses for many school districts running should be ready with chains as back gravel roads will be rather icy for a while.

· No replacement snows foreseen for a while until we see colder weather return next week, but there are two more significant rainstorms ahead – the next one Wednesday afternoon/night, and third next Monday.

· Monday’s system looks moderate to heavy and may include strong gusty winds along the western slopes.

TODAY: Gray. Periods of freezing rain developing during the morning commute with treacherous travel for a time before changing to rain. Breezy in the afternoon. A high in the upper 30s. Southeast winds 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Cloudy with a few rain showers tapering to isolated sprinkles. A low around 35. Light winds.

WEDNESDAY: A few hints of sun in the morning northern areas, otherwise gray. Periods of rain likely later in the afternoon, moderate at times. A high 45 to 50. Light southeast winds.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Rain…moderate at times. Areas of fog. A low 35 to 40.

THURSDAY: Morning clouds then intervals of afternoon sunshine. Isolated sprinkles mixed with wet snow flakes in the higher mountains. A high mid to upper 40s.

FRIDAY: Cloudy northern areas with intervals of sunshine south. Scattered wet snow showers high terrain with rain showers valley floors. A low 32 to 35. A high 40 to 45.

SATURDAY: Widely scattered snow showers with some minor accumulation possible. A low near 30. A high in the mid 30s.

Average lows in the low 20s. Normal highs upper 30s to low 40s
