Updated Monday morning forecast & WX Notes — October 31st, 2016

· Other than a few wet snow flakes early, we should transition into less dreary weather with periods of afternoon sunshine. November being the cloudiest month of the year, dark shortening days it can take a toll on human psychology, so get out into that sunshine today and tomorrow if at all possible.

· Tricker or treaters will see dry but seasonably cool weather for tonight.

· This week will see a transition to warming temperatures but also more dreary weather.

· No travel issues this week up until Thursday night/Friday morning where more elevated terrain accumulating wet snow was looking likely for some areas Friday morning…especially northeastern VT.

· Warmest day this week Wednesday where temps may actually make a run toward 60 degrees.

TODAY: Morning clouds with a couple wet snow flakes in the hills…give way periods of afternoon sunshine. Still cool with a high 40 to 45. Northwest breeze 10 mph.

TONIGHT Halloween Eve: Clear and chilly. Temperatures falling through the low 40s into the upper 30s with a frosty overnight low 25 to about 30. Little wind.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny then more clouds in the afternoon. Slight chance for a shower western areas late. Near seasonal normal’s in temperature. A high in the upper 40s pushing 50. South breeze 10 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Cloudy. Occasional rain showers. areas of fog. A low around 40.

WEDNESDAY: Mainly cloudy and damp in the morning with slight chance for sprinkle. Much milder. A high mid 50s to around 60.

THURSDAY: Overcast and gray. Chance for periods of rain or showers with wet snow accumulation in the higher terrain overnight. A morning low in the mid 40s. A high 50 to 55.

FRIDAY: Morning wet snow showers especially higher terrain some minor coatings possible down to valley floors giving way to increasing afternoon sunshine. A low in the mid 30s. A high in the 40s.

SATURDAY: Sunshine filtered by high clouds. A low in the 20s. A high in the 40s.

Average lows upper 20s to low 30s. Normal highs in the upper 40s to low 50s
