Updated Friday morning Forecast & Weather Summary — July 1st, 2016

Great weather for the first ¾ of Friday but…thunderstorms will bang through in quick fashion so if you are on the lake today, on mountain tops you really need to head for shore, down the mountain as thunderstorms will be moving in quickly I’d plan to be out of there no later than 2 or 3 PM.

Storms will develop across New York state and rapidly tap into increasingly humid conditions and produce scattered strong thunderstorms with lots of lighting, small hail, briefly heavy rainfall (possible flooding in those area that experienced heavy rainfall Tuesday and Wednesday.

The main action peak late today into the evening and then exit with scattered leftover rain showers into the night and during the day Saturday.

Cooler Canadian air blowing in on gusty northwesterly winds will also keep temperatures suppressed in the upper 60s to lower 70s – so coolish Saturday with a few mountain sprinkle likely.

Rest of 4th of July Weekend – Looking really good. Other than a few sprinkle northern border areas Sunday afternoon, predominant sunshine and a warming trend through the rest of the weekend into the middle part of next week – and this comes with low to moderate humidity levels. – Enjoy
