· Strong to possibly severe thunderstorms to develop across the Champlain valley region NW. corner of the state first…then track southeastward eventually most of the state covered in numerous showers and thunderstorms.

· Locally strong winds, lots of lighting, and especially NW VT. to see locally heavy rainfall.

· Strongest thunderstorms likely late in the day, but wane some through this evening gradually wind overnight.

· Scattered showers and thunderstorms again Tomorrow afternoon then clearing skies from west to east setting the stage for some real nice Vermont Summer weather Thursday and Friday.

TODAY: Mixed clouds and sun, warm and sticky. Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms developing especially northern and western Vermont. Some storms strong to possibly severe with heavy downpours and gusty winds. A high 80 to 85. South to southwest 10 mph. (5)

TONIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms…some strong with heavy downpours and gusty winds this evening. Otherwise mostly cloudy with a areas of fog. A low 60 to 65. Light winds. (5)

WEDNESDAY: Morning clouds giving way to partial afternoon sunshine. Scattered showersand afternoon thunderstorms. Still a bit muggy. A high in the mid 70s. Light west winds. (4)
