Roger-
Was good meeting you at the WDEV celebration yesterday (I am Stowe CoCoRaHS person, the one going to Worcester, MA for baseball game).
Just wanted to let you know that you were right about the negative weather outlook for Worcester, MA. We only got to see one inning of the game before the torrential rains hit (fortunately I was also going for the pre-game ceremony with the League of Your Own ladies in attendance and that did happen and was good). I just checked a CoCoRaHS reading this morning and a site in Worcester reported 3.40 inches of rain (!); there was definitely some urban flooding as we were leaving. From my phone radar observation there was a line of storms one after another moving west to east along the Mass Pike and into Worcester (almost “derecho” like I think). Anyway, you gave a good heads up.
The good news is that finally, as you predicted and know, we are getting a good soaking rain here in northern VT, so far 1.35 inches here in Stowe as of 9:30 AM Sunday.
Again, keep up the good work, and I will keep listening. Let me know if I can do any other weather related service. Regards, Carvel Bevans.
