Updated Thursday Morning Forecast & WX Notes — October 13th, 2016 – take Two

· A cold front will track into Vermont later today with band of showers for about 4 hours worth of showers. We might see rainfall total of around third to about a half inch by mid evening tonight.

· The cold front means business with a good temperatures fall from today’s high of 60 to 65 to tomorrow reading in the low 50s – have your jacket, fleece, sweaters at the ready.

· Other than some ponding on roadways this afternoon no travel issues with just rainfall.

· High pressure builds into the region later tonight and forces a very chilly but sunny set up for Friday in fact very much like what occurred on Monday.

· Higher pressure will be with us over the weekend before the next cold front reaches our region later Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.

· This system appears to be stalling and conditions were increasingly looking better to get some much needed soaking rainfall early next week.

· This precipitation is associated with an “Atmospheric River” where excessive rainfall was to unload in the Pacific NW. Jet stream energy will carry across the country and perhaps put a dent into our dry weather.
