Updated Friday Morning Forecast and WX Notes — September 16th, 2016

· Gorgeous weather is locked in across much of the Northeast U.S. with cool chilly morning and highs near normal under an anti-cyclone or high pressure area.

· The guardian high center will keep Tropical Storm Julia spinning away to our south and an impressive weather system well to our west toward the center of the country at bay.

· Late in the day Saturday…showers and a risk for a few thunderstorms will track into Vermont.

· A cold frontal system will stall out with mainly cloudy-unsettled weather lingering into the early part of next week.

· Temperatures looking into next week neither warm nor cold, but weather system do appear to get more of Fall-like look as the jet stream rev’s up for quicker changes next week.

TODAY: Sunny and gorgeous after morning fog burns off. Near normal temperatures. A high in the upper 60s to low 70s. Light southwest winds.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with a few high clouds. A low in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Light south winds.

SATURDAY: Filtered sunshine through high clouds. A high 70 to 75. South breeze 10 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Clouding up. A rising chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms. A low in the upper 50s to around 60.

SUNDAY: Mainly cloudy and turning muggy. A good chance for showers with a risk for thunderstorms especially toward southern Vermont. A high in the mid 70s.

MONDAY: Considerable cloudiness. Lingering showers gradually exit later in the afternoon. A low 60 to 65. A high in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY: Morning clouds and fog give way to partial sunshine before more clouds later in the day with a chance for showers. A low in the mid 50s. A high mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY: Morning clouds and fog, give way to increasing amounts of sunshine. Breezy at times. A low around 55. A high in the upper 60s.

Average lows in the mid to upper 40s. Normal high in the upper 60s to around 70.
